Resolved Motion posted the RM-RCL-1 from Cobleskill in September 2026. It is a high-torque rotary joint, NDAA-compliant, aimed at humanoid legs, elbows, and lift. The company is buying machines and tooling in Schoharie County rather than importing the actuator and putting a US badge on the box.
First production is rotary joints. Linear units are on the same board. Dual-use - industrial and defense - is the pitch, because a humanoid hip and a legged robot both need torque in a small package that can be sourced without a foreign lead time.
The plant is still building. The part is real. American actuators for legs are a short list. RM-RCL-1 is how Resolved Motion put itself on it.
