BuiltWorlds’ 2026 Annual Equipment & Robotics Benchmarking Report asked general contractors and specialty contractors what they use. Seventy-nine percent said they employ jobsite robotics to some degree, more than double the year before, Building Design + Construction reported.
Three names stood out, BuiltWorlds’ Lynch wrote. FieldAI was the most highly rated. Boston Dynamics was the most adopted. Dusty Robotics was the most piloted. That contractor feedback put FieldAI and Boston Dynamics on the 2026 Contractor’s Choice ballot. FieldAI won.
FieldAI’s software runs on Spot and other platforms. DPR reported inspection and documentation time down more than 90 percent in Santa Clara. Big-D expanded after two years on the tools. McLaren is deploying the same stack in the UK. Highest-rated, in this survey, means the contractors who already pay for it scored it above the rest of the field.
