Disney picked five AI companies on 31 July 2026. FieldAI is the construction-robotics firm in a class that also includes Physical Intelligence. Four months on the Burbank lot. Demo Day in November.
The Walt Disney Company announced the 2026 Disney Accelerator class on 31 July 2026. It is the program’s 12th year. Five growth-stage companies: FieldAI, Physical Intelligence, Promise, OpenArt, and Simile. Disney said the class works across robotics, generative AI, and data synthesis.
Disney’s description of FieldAI: foundation models that let robots of many types operate in dynamic, uncertain environments without prior maps, GPS, or pre-planned routes. Disney also noted that FieldAI’s robots are already deployed commercially across hundreds of sites on three continents. Physical Intelligence, the other robotics company in the class, is building general-purpose AI so machines can do many tasks instead of one programmed job.
Over four months the five companies receive investment capital and work with leaders across Disney. The program ends with Demo Day on the Walt Disney Studio Lot in Burbank in early November 2026. FieldAI posted the same day that it was joining the cohort.
Disney said this year’s strategic bets include helping robots operate safely. FieldAI’s construction work - DPR, Big-D, McLaren, Caterpillar - is separate from the accelerator. The accelerator is a four-month collaboration with Disney, with a public demo in November.
